Comfiest Shorts I've had

I now have 3 pairs of these shorts and for me at least they are the comfiest I've had. I've also tried shorts from Assos, Castelli, Pedla and Forz, but none come close. I'm 190cm and about 85kg and wear a size L. The laser cut straps really help with over shoulder comfort while giving excellent support. This can be a problem for us taller riders. Other brands straps can be too tight and pull the shorts up to places you don't want them to be. Alternatively the straps are so thin and light that they bunch up on your shoulders and start to dig in. The chamois is a great thickness and firmness for long distance riding. I'm regularly riding over 100km and have never had any saddle soreness. The chamois also extends far enough forward to give you padding when sitting on the nose of the saddle and to protect you privacy from the inevitable pitfalls of micron thin lycra when standing. As some have reported, the wedgie can be inclined to give you a wedgie when walking around, but this issue disappears after 10 to 12 rides. I find the cut of the shorts is excellent for me, fitting snugly without being overly compressive. They have minimal seams and the laser cut bottoms avoid that tighter band that can occur around the leg on many other shorts. Living in the tropics I really appreciate the cold black technology that can take a little sting out of the sun. Its hard to be sure if its working (especially after 20 washes), but good to know its there. The material does wick sweat very quickly and dries very quickly when damp or wet. In colder climates the probably need. The only problem I have had is that when they do wear out, the first thing to happen is a see-through patch occurring at a place where anyone riding behind really would prefer not to be looking! For me this has been at about 6 to 10,000 km. As mentioned, I do live in the tropics and get very very sweaty, so that could be a factor. Just bought the now Pr SL EGM to continue to preserve my rear end modesty. Not ridden yet, but a quick check indoors and they seem as if the chamois could be even more comfy, didn't give me the new chamois wedgie effect, have kept the Cold Black technology (thank you Endura) and have better breathability at the back. For me these are a great summer short and I haven't been able to find better. Hope they work for you too,

Pro SL bib shorts

Fit is perfect, with the med padding. Very comfortable. Up there with the best 👌

Good value shorts, snug fit

Ordered two pairs, partly to replace an older pair of the same type that have seen a lot of wear. I ordered medium as that's what I had before (even though the size guide would suggest a small - I'm about a 32 inch waist) and they are a snug fit for me. Only issue is that only one pair has been delivered and I'm awaiting the second pair (but have had email updates).

Top Shorts

Endura prove once again they are the master of bib shorts in addition to their other great products. I do thousands of miles a year, the best miles are in these shorts, I thought FS 260 Pro were the best I have experienced, these are even better. I have tried many makes over many years, Endura are the best.

Great bibs

Can’t agree with those negative reviews, perhaps just bought the wrong size. Nothing restrictive about the straps or the body of the shorts and the chamois is very comfortable assuming you have the right width. I  had the previous version of these shorts and liked them, these are even better. Particularly like the longer leg option

Bad Chamois Redesign

I used Endura's prior generation Pro SL bibshorts with great comfort, but the new 700 series chamois design is a fail. The chamois (medium width for me) is exactly the same width/height and outer silhouette as the old one. However, the new design has a thicker ridge on either side, over the area of the left/right sit bones. Sounds like a great idea, but in practice, it causes the chamois to bunch up/shift to the middle. The thicker raised ridge wants to go where you have an indentation . . . which is in the middle. Not fatally unrideable, but you are likely to be adjusting your shorts often on a ride. It is too bad, because the rest of the bibshorts are excellent. The material is high quality, and the shoulder straps are very comfortable. (Depending on your fit, the shorts might work for you. Just trying them on will give you an idea - the chamois gets bunchy just standing/squatting, unlike their older version chamois, which you forget about the whole ride).

Great bibs get even better

I’m 6’6” tall so need the XXL long leg with wide pad. I’ve had a couple of pairs of the the old model of these bibs which were great. Only down side was the lycra was a bit old fashioned and wasnt the snuggest fit. These new bibs are better in every way. Legs a bit longer, stretchier lycra, better pad. Excellent piece of kit.

New design.. terrible idea..

went and purchased my go to bibs as Ive run the Pro SL's for a little while.. ended up with the v2.. sadly they've change the whole bib short design and gone towards the XTRACT bib.. lost the nice comfy soft elastic shoulder straps.. and bought the mid rif up to far by a couple of inches.. I now find because of the different fabrics that the bib is restrictive and compresses the abdomen, it's less stretchy and conforming to the body.. Ive also found that the chammy isn't as padded. Over all terrible idea to change such a great bib short.  Sadly will be moving away from Endura bibs..

Outstanding

Bought these bibs in summer 2020 after trying many, many others, all of which left something to be desired.  These are not cheap, but they're certainly not the most expensive I tried (not by a long way).  However they are - BY FAR - the most comfortable bibs I've ever used.  Bought a second pair really soon after the first.  FIT I take a large (med pad) at 176cm and 85kg.  My build is more Chris Hoy lower body/Chris Moyles upper body than Chris Froome.  Most bibs that I can get to fit on my legs (thigh measurement) are too long and one famous upmarket UK brand leaves me with grippers dangling around my knee.  Not ideal.  The Pro SL bibs however stretch where they need to and while the leg is relatively long (I use the regular length version) they sit the right height above my knee.  Overall Endura fit me better than any other cycling brand I've used.  While they have an enviable roster of pro ambassadors, I feel they size for real people, not members of the pro peloton, which I feel some brands do. They fit tighter than my size large FS260 Pro bibs, and it's the same with jerseys when comparing the two ranges.  But after wearing these, my FS260 Pro bibs, even though they're a great fit too, feel less compressive and I just prefer these. WEARING In use the bibs disappear.  Not literally of course ;-), you just don't feel them which is the highest compliment from me.  They are supremely comfortable and I can do long days in the saddle either on gravel/road or on my mountain bike (yes I've gone back to wearing bibs on my MTB - I'm old and 'unfashionable', they just work and I don't do gnar anyway).  They're cool in hot weather but not too cool; perfect in most cases in other words. The grippers are without parallel in those I've used.  They're simply brilliant.  Grip so well but without ever cutting in.  In fact when putting them on I turn the gripper up so they slide up my legs.  Otherwise the gripper simply stops them moving as soon as it contacts skin.  Never experienced that with other makes and I'm amazed at how immovable and comfortable the grippers are.  Again, the best I've ever used. LONGEVITY I've started washing them in a mesh bag as the lycra was pulled slightly by some dreaded velcro in one wash (not the fault of the bibs, just worth bearing in mind - some lycra isn't as susceptible).  The leg graphics ('relief' style black stealth logos) have held up well, but (as seems common with some Endura products) the only appliqué white logo on them, the Endura arrow on right butt cheek, has peeled off on both of my pairs of these.  This is the only negative I can think of and is hardly a deal breaker; it would just be nice if they didn't look a bit 'used' so soon as a result of this. VERDICT I don't wear anything else unless both my pairs are in the wash.  Which they never are because I hate wearing anything else.  As close to perfect as it's possible to be.

Excellent.

The legs are a bit long for me, or maybe my legs are a bit too short? Got a small and I’m 5’ 9” But these shorts are very comfortable and very well made, I prefer them to my mega bucks Swiss made shorts that begin with As…
