Endura Ride Out

 Rider Information & Participation Agreement

 Welcome 

  Thank you for taking part in an Endura Ride Out. 

 Endura Ride Outs are informal community cycling rides organised by Endura. They are not races, sportives, guided tours, closed-road events, or professionally supervised activities. 

 Participants will generally ride together along a planned route on open public roads. Experienced riders may help maintain the group's pace and overall progress where reasonably possible. However, every participant remains responsible for their own riding, safety, navigation, judgement, and decisions throughout the ride. 

 Participation in an Endura Ride Out is conditional on each participant reading, understanding, and accepting this Rider Information and Participation Agreement in full. 

 Please read this document carefully before participating. 

 By participating in an Endura Ride Out, you confirm that you agree as follows: 

 Eligibility and Participation 

  you are taking part voluntarily;
 you are aged 18 or over;
 you are physically fit and able to take part in the ride;
 you understand that Endura may refuse participation or require you to leave the ride at any time if Endura reasonably considers that you may pose a risk to yourself or others, are not suitably prepared or equipped, appear unfit to participate, or otherwise breach the terms of this participation agreement. 

 Rider Responsibilities 

  you are responsible for your own safety, actions, and conduct;
 you will ride within your own ability and experience level;
 you will comply with all applicable road traffic laws and the Highway Code;
 you understand that the ride takes place on open public roads and that you remain responsible for assessing risks and making your own decisions at all times;
 the planned route may be shared in advance, but you remain responsible for your own navigation should you become separated from the group;
 you are responsible for arranging your own transport if you are unable to complete the ride;
 you will inform the organisers if you decide to leave the ride or stop participating before the planned finish; and
 you will behave in a considerate and respectful manner towards fellow riders, members of the public, and organisers throughout the ride.
 Endura Ride Outs are community rides, and all participants are expected to act responsibly and with due care for the safety of themselves and others. 

 Bicycle and Equipment Requirements 

 your bicycle is safe and suitable for the planned ride;
 your brakes, tyres, and other essential components are in roadworthy condition;
 you will wear a suitable cycling helmet;
 you will carry:
 at least one spare inner tube;
 a suitable means of inflation;
 basic tools appropriate for your bicycle; and
 you will bring clothing suitable for the expected weather conditions;
 you will carry enough food, water, and a charged mobile phone for the duration of the ride.
 Lights are strongly recommended where conditions may require them. 

 Rider Welfare and Personal Responsibility 

  Endura Ride Outs take place on public roads and are based on individual rider responsibility. 
 While organisers and fellow riders may provide assistance where reasonably possible, each participant remains responsible for: 
 managing their own pace and effort;
 ensuring they have sufficient food and hydration;
 following the planned route if they are no longer with the main group;
 managing any mechanical issues that occur; and
 arranging their own onward travel if they choose or need to stop riding.
 Endura does not provide mechanical support, medical support, rider collection, escort vehicles, or rider supervision. 

 Emergency Procedure 

 Contact emergency services where appropriate. 
 Move yourself and others to a safe location where possible. 
 Inform the Endura organisers as soon as reasonably practicable.
 Avoid obstructing emergency responders.
 Do not share speculation or unconfirmed details regarding incidents publicly.
 Emergency contact details for the organisers will be provided before each ride.

 Assumption of Risk 

  You understand and acknowledge that cycling on public roads involves inherent risks, including but not limited to: 
 collisions involving vehicles, cyclists, pedestrians, animals, or objects;
 road surface conditions and hazards;
 weather conditions;
 bicycle or equipment failure;
 fatigue, dehydration, or physical exhaustion; and
 serious injury or, in extreme circumstances, death.
 You understand and voluntarily accept these risks and choose to participate in the Endura Ride Out at your own risk. 

 Responsibility and Liability 

  To the fullest extent permitted by law, you acknowledge and agree that you are responsible for your own actions, decisions, safety, conduct, equipment, and participation throughout the ride. 
 Subject to the paragraph below, Endura nor any company in the Pentland Group, nor its organisers, volunteers, representatives, employees, affiliates, and partners shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, expense, delay, inconvenience, or other consequence arising out of or in connection with your participation in an Endura Ride Out. 
 Nothing in this Agreement excludes or limits any liability which cannot legally be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. 

 Photography and Filming 

  You understand that photographs and videos may be taken during Endura Ride Outs. 
 You consent to Endura using such images and recordings in which you may appear for promotional, marketing, editorial, and social media purposes in any media now known or later developed, without further approval from you or payment to you. 

 Insurance 

  Participants are responsible for arranging any insurance cover they consider appropriate, including personal accident, third-party liability, and bicycle insurance. 
 Endura does not provide insurance cover for participants taking part in Endura Ride Outs. 

 Personal Data 

 You agree and understand that Endura will collect and use your personal details, including mobile number and emergency contact details, for the purposes of administering the ride, contacting you in relation to the event, and dealing with emergencies where necessary.

 Governing Law 

  This participation agreement and any non-contractual obligations arising out of or in connection with it shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales. 
 The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with this participation agreement. 

 Rider Declaration 

  By signing this participation agreement you agree that: 
 I have read and understood this Rider Information and Participation Agreement;
 I am physically capable of participating in this ride;
 I understand that this is an informal community ride taking place on open public roads;
 I understand that I remain responsible for my own riding, safety, judgement, and decisions throughout;
 I accept the risks associated with participating;
 I agree to participate responsibly and consider the safety of myself and others; and
 I agree to be bound by the terms of this participation greement as a condition of participation.
